In a sole proprietorship, the owner alone contributes his resources (including capital and skill) to the business. He takes all the profits and bears all the risks. A sole trader can run his business without any restrictions provided the business in not illegal. There is no limit to his liability for the debts of the business-i.e., in the event that there are insufficient funds in the business or repay all the debts, the sole trader may be forced to sell his personal property, if any, to settle the debts of the business. A sole proprietorship will be dissolved on the retirement, incapacity, death or bankruptcy of the sole trader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
